Vinted app improvements: Identifying usability issues and designing improvements

While exploring the Vinted app, I noticed that browsing and managing saved items could feel a bit overwhelming - especially when searching for specific language books or scrolling through a long list of favorites.
I saw an opportunity to make the experience simpler and help users find what they’re looking for faster. This redesign focuses on improving search filters and organizing favorites into collections.
I’ve noticed 2 things that could be improved.
The first thing I noticed was that when you’re searching for books, there’s no way to filter results by language. You see books in different languages, but if you only know Lithuanian, you’re probably not interested in the ones written in other languages.
Solution: In the filters section, I added a language filter that lets you easily choose your preferred book language when searching.
The second thing I noticed was that handling a large number of items in the favorites list can be difficult. Imagine having 80 or more items saved - when you want to find one, it takes a lot of time to scroll through them all.
Solution: I created Collections in the favorites list. When adding an item to your favorites, you can choose an existing collection or create a new one. To add an item to a favorite collection, tap the heart icon on the item you like, then select or create the collection where you’d like to save it.
Users can easily create a new collection by tapping the + button in the top right corner - either from the pop-up or from within their favorites list.
